About Pamela

In 2009, my M&S botanical work was selected for the prestigious V&A London archives, which inspired the cabinet of Curiosities initially and most recently the Funky Botanical gallery.

In addition to these galleries, I have completed successful commissions for High Street brands such as the BBC, M&S, the Radio and TV Times, Penhaligon's, Chelsea textiles, Waddington Hasbro, Hertfordshire council and many more. I hope you enjoy the site; please feel free to post your comments or email us with ideas or suggestions for improvement.

Greene King IPA Christmas Campaign

Menu design for the pubs in the UK, comprising of a large painted scene at Christmas. Welcoming pub atmosphere with a contemporary pantomime theme , as characters are dressed in Victorian outfits whilst using modern gadgets e.g. mobile phones ,tablets, glitter balls and The London Eye

What the client had to say:

"The project we commissioned Pam for really needed to capture the true spirit of Christmas; it’s fair to say that Pam’s illustrations whole-heartedly did this, and she really went the extra mile with her attention to detail. Pam is an absolute delight to work with - she’s great at taking direction as well as making her own unique suggestions that contribute and add character, charm and magic to her paintings and illustrations. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation as working with her has been a pleasure! "

To Whom It May Concern

I first met Pamela Storey - Johnson when I became Curator at Woburn Abbey in 2003.

Woburn has one of the most important collections of fine and decorative arts in a private house, comprising a fine collection of paintings including The Armada Portrait , 18th & 19th century furniture, sculpture, porcelain & silver. Therefore it is essential to gain a good knowledge of these many disciplines. There is also a need to absorb the rich history of The Russell Family.

Pamela’s Art History background enables her to bring depth to discussions about painters and her professional work as an artist, in her own right, allows her to empathise with the works on show. She is able to tailor her skills to fit the requirements. She is keen to discuss with the curatorial team the ongoing redisplay, exhibition and research programme, in order to update and revise her knowledge.

Pamela always conducts herself with enthusiasm and professionalism and I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Pam is a talented artist who works with a high degree of professionalism. She is able to meet tight deadlines, takes direction well and goes above and beyond to produce beautiful illustrations. Working with Pam has been a pleasure. I would highly recommend her for any future project."

Rachel Chapman, commissioned work for Microsoft

It has been a pleasure working with you and it is greatly appreciated that you were able to meet the required deadlines and work with all of the changes and limited feedback. We would be happy to recommend you and will hopefully work with you again. We do not have any British clients but we do have colleagues and associations with some individuals and firms in the UK.

I have commissioned Pam for a number of very demanding illustrations and she has been a joy to work with on every occasion. As well as being an extremely talented and imaginative illustrator, she is always collaborative, sympathetic to the briefing she is given and utterly professional with regard to achieving her deadlines. I couldn't recommend her highly enough.

I write to say how delighted we are to acquire two examples of packaging for M & S's Floral Collection of cosmetics that you have so generously offered as a gift to the Museum. These will make a wonderful addition to our collections, fitting in both to our commercial packaging and botanical illustration subject area.
